Aldeia 3D Demónios do meu avô

I am happy to share some of my work and collaboration on the amazing movie "Os Demónios do Meu Avô".
I was responsible for making all of the 3D set in the pre-production phase of the movie.
Working step by step with the amazing director Nuno Beato , i worked on the creation of the entire village in 3D. The goal was to understand and simulate the spacial space and the feeling of the real world in stop motion.
I started using a few textures painted by Alexandre Pinto. And after with all the indications of the amazing Debora GIl we divided the village in large plates, each of one was part of a giant set that could be possible to move for filming each shot of the movie or appear all in one.
After that i helped creating some parts of the movie on the animatic to understand how the camera moves in a couple of important scenes.
Since it was the first stop motion animated feature film made in Portugal, its possible to imagine all of the investment, love, care and work that the entire team had.
I learned a lot with Nuno Beato, and it was a big opportunity to work with @sardinha.em.lata. I will share more work soon I've done in this wonderful movie that will be in cinemas this week.
